And now that Expo 2020 Dubai has finally opened its doors, the city has truly pulled out all the stops to amaze residents and visitors with new venues that promise to entertain one and all.

The hotly anticipated Ain Dubai joined a long list of the city’s record-breaking attractions when it opened to the public in October. Located on Bluewaters island, the giant observation wheel, which stands at a height of 250 metres, is the highest and largest of its kind in the world. A remarkable feat of construction, Ain Dubai will offer 360-degree views of the emirate’s iconic skyline and landmarks during the 38-minute ride in one of its pods. aindubai.com

Deep Dive Dubai

The latest addition to the city’s adventure activities scene cinched the Guinness World Record for the world’s deepest swimming pool for diving when it opened in July this year. Shaped like an oyster, the structure pays homage to Dubai’s pearl diving heritage. Inside, divers can explore a world of unique aquatic adventures.

Deep Dive Dubai

With its pool reaching a depth of 60.02 metres, Deep Dive Dubai offers diving experiences to suit both beginners and experts. Filled with 14 million litres of water, the facility features an abandoned sunken city with immersive zones for those looking to dial up the adrenaline factor.

The Palm Fountain

Palm Fountain

Yet another record-breaker, The Palm Fountain made history when it broke the record for the world’s largest fountain last year. Spread across the boulevard of The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah, the fountain’s two giant platforms cover 14,000 square metres of seawater, with jets reaching up to 105 metres. It also features 3,000 LED lights, which illuminate the surroundings during the daily fountain shows from sunset to midnight.

Infinity des Lumieres

Step into the region’s biggest immersive digital art gallery at Infinity des Lumières. Spread over an impressive 2,700 square metres within The Dubai Mall, the venue brings classical and contemporary art to life through 130 projectors, 58 speakers and 3,000 digital moving images in high-definition.

Visitors can browse three unique exhibitions at the gallery. The Van Gogh showcase pays tribute to the works of the Dutch Post-Impressionist painter, Dreamed Japan celebrates the poetic beauty of 19th-century Japan and Verse takes guests on a journey through the cosmos. This multisensory experience synchronises light, sound, colour, movement and rhythm to allow visitors to fully connect with art in a unique way.

The View at the Palm

There’s a new way to explore Palm Jumeirah. For a unique perspective of the world’s largest manmade island, head 240 metres to the top of the Palm Tower, where you can enjoy 360-degree views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and beyond. Perched on level 52 of the tower, The View at The Palm features an outdoor terrace and a premium lounge, from where visitors can enjoy uninterrupted vistas of the city.
